Positive Money

Friday 18 May @ 8:00pm - 10:00pm

Rachel Oliver from Positive Money talks about the flaws in our current money and banking system, how it needs to change and how the organisation she works for is aiming to change it.

A Headstrong Club talk.

The original Headstrong Club was formed in the 18th century as a debating society. It met in the White Hart and was notable for counting democracy campaigner Thomas Paine as a member. In fact, Lewes historian Colin Brent notes that Paine often won the prize for “most obstinate haranguer”.

Today’s Headstrong Club was formed in January 1987 by David Powell and John May. It’s now based at the Elephant and Castle pub and generally meets once a month, with a summer break. There’s a charge of £3 for entry to meetings.
